I ordered a GTX Sep 2021 and it has now been "upgraded" to 2023 years model. According to dealer its because 2022 orders are full. They cannot give a deliverydate, all they say is that my car is on a priolist.

My feeling is that VW are prioratizing leasingcars because of the increased prizes. My car have gone up ~10,000 dollars (live in Sweden) so I almost get the feeling my dealer is hoping that we cancel our order.

Not really good customer service.

It does'nt feel good this situation. Car dealers are not charity exactly, after what happened with Hyundai that canceled byers orders and gave them a choice to order again for a higher price, what says VW are gonna let us keep our cars.

I think the only reason VW have not done so is after "dieselgate" they cannot have a new disaster. Especially sence this is their first and big launch into the electric era. They lie and keep quiet and are waiting for people to cancel their orders i think.

I'm seriously thinking about canceling and buying a used fossil car like a Toyota Raw4.

This actually pisses me off. My dealer has been lying saying my car was delayed because 2022 orders are full. That all remaining 2022's have been "upgraded" to 2023 years model like it's a good thing and a privilege.

Why did they aim so damn high? id4 first edition, id4 pro, pros, gtx for the european market and id4 pro awd for the US market, then the id5 and the id5 gtx, then the id4 awd for the european market between id4 and the gtx?

They should have launched only the id4 and id4 awd, maby the id5 after that but to me it's a pointless car. Like an suv but without a rear window viper.

Härligt tjabo! When did you order your car again? I also lost the vw app and on vw finances neither my order or my legal contract is shown, feels a bit... not fun to say the least! Of course i have my legal contract between me and my dealer.

Do you know if you will get the updated 2023 model or is it a 2022 made under "2023 batch"?

Hej Per and everyone else!

Thanks, feels great after all these months of uncertainty and as I said, sincerely hope everyone waiting gets some good (or at least reliable) info soon from VW. If you haven’t done so already - check with the national VW HQ for status.

I ordered the car 5 Feb (this year 😉) but it was already in stage 3 or so as it was supposed to be a dealer demo car; I took over the order and just managed to change various options before it was locked. My contract is also honoured by VW and it includes a Volvo XC60 T5 AWD trade-in car. Benefits: the GTX with my options is ~ € 5500 more expensive now and I’ve been driving the Volvo with petrol cost as my only expense 😀

It’s confirmed to be MY 2023 which is great especially re the all black interior, not a fan of the dark blue…
Ok I see! I ordered mine Sep 2021 so hopefully it's not that far off then. But again a dealer is probably prioritized, like your car and all leasingcars, before ordinary folks.

My speced car have gone up 9000 euro, so thats a comforting win atleast if I ever get the car.

Nope. I emailed VW sweden 7 days ago and have not gotten a reply yet. Their customerservice is despicable.

The gtx was launched summer 2021, I ordered in September. Sence then my dealer has not contacted me on their own initiative more than once. You always have to hunt them, nag, drag information out of them. You email customerservice which refers to your dealer who wont reply.

Why be a carcompany that isn't interested in selling you a car...

Got a reply from vw now. "We at customerservice cannot see your deliverydate, it's your dealer that have the tools for that. Contact my dealer; "your car is on a priolist but we cannot give any deliverydate"

Same old same old 👍...

You know, one thing that would maby kept me off this forum, is a newsletter/feedback from VW themself. Not my local dealer that knows as little as me, but big brother himself. The complete silence and lack off feedback is really annoying

Good to hear! I'm thinking about getting a obd11 dongle and inactivate the alarm and keyless entry. The alarm for not accidently waking up the family in the morning, and keyless entry for safety reason. Maby something you should try as well?

Supposably you can inactivate the "welcome screen" that takes forever during my testdrive, and also the seatsensor so that you can leave the car on, during dark winterdays its nice when youre strapping the kids in their seat.

Hi any one asked delivery update recently. My is Jan/Feb 2023 for order in dec 2021. This info is 1,5m old though and will check again before christmas. Jan/Feb is not far away, just hopes its time enough for them to get their shit together 🤣
Stoped asking because dealers dont know s**t. I ordered september 2021 and have been given jan/feb 2023 when I asked late september. Taking that with a truckload of salt.

Im really grinding my teeth about this because VW and my dealer never get back at their customers. Whats the problem, why the delay and the cloak and daggers?!
