It means that the production week is confirmed and it's usually done a month before the actual production week. So, unless something unexpected happens, your car will be manufactured a month from whenever that change was made. That does line up with the W40, no?Update # 2 today (!): sales rep sent an email stating that mangan grey metallic is ok after all and the car has changed status to ”confirmed in factory” whatever that means - anyone who is in the know?
Of course, "unexpected" is a lot more common these days. I know of cars that have been ready except for some individual thing for months last spring before finally being completed.
EDIT: of course it can also mean that it's being produced right now (over a period of four days), but if that's the case, then your dealer should've seen that the production week is confirmed ("locked") a month ago.
