VW needs to think outside the box and go beyond 'Im hot' or 'I farted' with Hello Id.

Have the car send me an alert at 10pm that i left the windows down and would i like to roll them up? (carnet)

Hello ID am I going to make it home?

Hello ID give me a status update on range every 30 mins.

Hello ID im going into a car wash.

Based on a lot of the videos I've watched, the onboard navigation is woefully bad at estimating range, particularly if it's hilly. (No personal experience, only what I've watched.) It can't seem to understand that the uphill side is going to have terrible mi/kwh, but that you're likely to get much of that back on the other side. I'm not sure I'd trust the onboard nav or "hello ID" for any of that. Much better off using ABRP on your phone or via CarPlay/Andriod Auto. :)
Hello ID, what's the name of that actress that looks like the other actress I like, that's in that movie that my wife says we saw together but I don't remember?

Maybe the car could remind you that your wife's birthday is coming up. :D

lol.

just suggesting that a voice response system should do more then replace a button on the infotainment screen, but combine data the car already collects to provide useful multichannel info.

and the car could tell me if im going to make it home by simply recording driving habits. hello id is responding to an offsite hosted system so im assuming VW already has this data but we dont have access to it.

I'd settle for, "Hello ID, what's my state of charge?" Which, last I checked, just opens up the vehicle data screen (which does not display state of charge).

I think this is an area we will see improve with the OTA updates. Lots of low hanging fruit as they've really done just the very basics so far.

If you have navigation on set to home it will tell you if you won't make it.
