Here’s more about Ford using the MEB platform. It’s smart on Ford’s part, because as far as I know the Mach-E’s platform wasn’t designed to be modular.

The whole Mustang thing is kind of odd. I guess they wanted to be able to advertise the first electric "muscle car"? Or, some very high level exec has a Mustang thing. Note the new one has the oval Ford badge, not a Pony. I guess Tesla has more power and speed, but doesn't really come across like an American muscle car, more like an IT person's car

OTOH, at the Mach-E forum, there are LOT of current mustang owners, now a bit older, who seem to be very into the Mach E, in part, because it is a Mustang. Ford may be selling a lot of MME to mustang enthusiasts and owners, maybe not such a bad marketing ploy?

The Mustang Mach-E seems like a good car, but I hate the indented front end nose thing, or grille, or whatever it’s supposed to be. Probably a dumb reason, but that’s keeping me from even considering it. It’s also more money so there is that issue too.
