Picked up my new ID.4 Pro S Friday and took a 140 mile trip the next day. Love the car and ride!

I’m not sure if they’re right, but the dealership, Volkswagen of Lake Charles, claimed mine was the first ID.4 sold in Louisiana. I’d love to hear if there’s anyone else in the state with one.

Thanks to all the members here who have posted their experiences and knowledge on this car. It’s been extremely helpful in making the purchase decision and getting to know the ID.4’s quirks.

Sorry about the Instagram tilt, my wife took the photo.

Welcome.

If that's your wife's Insta-moment, she missed you making pouty duck lips and flashing a piece sign.

Can't imagine yours is 1st in LA but who knows, maybe they meant 1st blue Pro S sold on a Friday! 🤔

I agree, I’m sure someone in New Orleans or Baton Rouge ordered a FE, so who knows? ¯\(ツ)/¯.

I’ve only seen one other in the wild: at the dealer, while taking delivery of mine. They were passing through to Texas, low on charge, and were trying to make it to the fast charger about 15 miles down the road.
About the picture, my wife said, “That’s the only way I could get all of the car in it. And it makes you look thinner.” 🤣🤣

Congrats anyway, you got my alternative color choice. I like the color but my trade in was blue and strangely I have had better luck with white cars.
I may have been first in South Mississippi but the dealer ship sold 4 others within a month, haven't run into them in the wild yet.

I live in the SF Bay Area, just north of Berkeley and I feel like the ID.4 population is going to rival the Subaru and Prius population very quickly. I bought a gray Pro on Friday and I have seen 3 other ID.4’s with 3 blocks of my house… So much for being the guy with the unique, shiny new toy…

Huh, I'm in Oakland and have only spotted one here and there on the freeway., none in the neighborhood yet. I'm waiting! I know they're coming, just like you predict.

On the i3 forum, owners would pipe in that they never see other i3s or don't know of others in town. My neighborhood is rotten with them. Over a dozen within a half-mile radius. Nothing to compare to the Prius and Tesla population, but still far more than I ever noticed before owning one.

Looking forward to seeing VW's Q2 US sales figures, and I'm certain these will be all too common in all parts of the country, just give it a few months.

In my neck of the woods, we don’t see too many compact, fuel efficient cars, certainly not many EVs. There are a few Teslas around town, but it’s mostly larger SUVs and trucks.

Our local economy is dominated by petrochemical industries, being home to about 20% of the U.S.’s refining capacity. It feels a bit strange going electric in this part of the country. I think the ID.4 will go a long way in changing the perception of EVs in regions like mine.
