I don't know about Apple Car Play, but since it doesn't work with Android Auto, not much value to me.
Gentex. It's really about the auto dimming features and less about garage door opening.whoever Homelink is has the market tied up.
Works with Android too. It is on my Android phone right now.I don't know about Apple Car Play, but since it doesn't work with Android Auto, not much value to me.
Android AUTO?Works with Android too. It is on my Android phone right now.
Yes!Android AUTO?
To add to the merits of Tailwind, they are close to finishing HomeKit integration, which will only require a firmware update to enable. This will likely provide that geofenced button exposure that others have soughtI looked into what it would take for the myQ product to be viable on my genie garage door opener about 6 months ago with an iPhone or rather CarPlay . You end up needing a Bridge from them for another $100. It looks like the pricing was recently restructured, though, 6 months ago it was over $200 for the 2 products. This is better now. I ended up using a product called Tailwind www.gotailwind.com that ended up being a little lower in price, but uses proximity based signaling to open the door automatically when the car approaches. Usually it does it flawlessly, but some times you end up using the app Itself. I plan on getting the home link for failover and I have a opener at work that can be learned as well.
Thank you for the info!Gentex. It's really about the auto dimming features and less about garage door opening.
I have this as well. I have multiple doors in different states on the app. It works very well. As for the warning sequence, just click the app a block away from home and it will be opening when you get there.I got a Genie door opener which is compatible with their own internet-based app. It works fairly well but not as responsive as just clicking the garage door button on the provided remotes as they do a warning sequence for opening and closing.
I’m confused. You are not the first person I’ve seen talk up the auto dimming. Auto dimming rear view mirror is standard, and the gps will provide compass direction, so a $300 add-on isn’t needed unless you need more than one garage/gate/drawbridge controllerGentex. Ha ha....good intentions but we ALWAYS forget until right in front of the door.I have this as well. I have multiple doors in different states on the app. It works very well. As for the warning sequence, just click the app a block away from home and it will be opening when you get there.
I'm sure you won't be surprised that people feel strongly about "upgrades" that might or might not do a whole lot of things different than what's on the carI’m confused. You are not the first person I’ve seen talk up the auto dimming.
Are you sure? I got this and it does not work with Android Auto for me. Which version of Android do you have?Yes!
