How long did anyone have their ID.4 in the 35-2 status (on a truck from port to dealer)? Mine came in to Davisville, Rhode Island, ~3hrs from here, and I'm trying to understand how long this normally takes to plan for the transition from old car to new since I'm not trading the old one in to the VW dealer (not sure how many stops, what route, etc.).

It's a crap shoot. Many factors drive this variable. How far, how many trucks or drivers are available. Your dealer probably has the best information.

Yeah, that's what I suspected. He's not been particularly helpful in clarifying expectations.
My experience (living in NJ) was 2 days from port to dealer but the dealer said it could take as long as 10 days from their experience. I asked what drives this and he said that sometimes the trucking company doesn't have enough cars to deliver to the dealer so they wait until other cars going to dealerships along the route fill the truck up. Not sure how true that is but from a logistics perspective that seemed to make sense to me.

Ugh. Thanks for the info, but I hope it's not 10 days.
