As someone linked already, you signed an agreement with Volkswagen when you purchased or leased the vehicle, that includes collecting data. Unless there is a trigger in the agreement you're unable to stop the logging.Also is the ODBII constantly recording GPS location? Is there a way to disable it?

"If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about" has always been a bad reason to give up one's privacy. We should be able to opt out of the data collection and marketing profiling without giving up features.Why would you want to turn off data? Unless you're a thief or trying to avoid a repo, there is no go reason to.
