Volkswagen steps up global electrification offensive: ID.3 celebrates debut in China
Following the debut at the motor show in Chengdu, Chinese customers will be able to reserve an ID.3 via a pre-booking system prior to the market launch in October. Recent months have already seen a growing number of customers choosing an ID.4 or ID.6. As a result, deliveries of vehicles from the ID. family have doubled in the past three months from 1,500 units in May to some 3,000 in June and 5,800 in July. As a result, Volkswagen was already among the top ten manufacturers in the Chinese e-car market in July. By year-end, 80,000 to 100,000 vehicles from the ID. family are to be delivered to customers in China – subject to the supply situation for semiconductors.

I wish ID.3 would debut in the US. The EV Specialist at the dealer laughed when I told him ID.4 felt too big. Of course, he has an Atlas.
My mom could use one, too. She said the same thing after trying our ID.4 and ended up grabbing a Bolt EUV and now has to deal with that battery fiasco.

My wife actually was the one who wanted a larger vehicle. I would have went with a Bolt EUV if it had better fast charging capability. Good thing that I didn't however.

If I could talk my wife into it, we would still probably buy a used Bolt EV and get the battery replaced when possible, but she really wants a Mach-E, so I guess that we're going to save up for that.
