Does the ID4 have a 12v battery and if so can it charge from the main battery and is required to start the car?
A quick search here would have told you that, yes, the ID.4 has a 12v battery. Nothing happens with the car if that battery is dead, it provides power to all the computers. Yes it is charged from the main (drive) battery when the car is switched on. Conflicting reports if the 12v battery gets charged while the main battery is charging.Does the ID4 have a 12v battery and if so can it charge from the main battery and is required to start the car?
So, if I go camping and use the 12V plug of the ID4 quite a bit the 12V battery will never die as long as the vehicle is turned on?A quick search here would have told you that, yes, the ID.4 has a 12v battery. I think this then becomes the question of how do you keep the car "on" if you are not driving it? Reports are at the moment that the car shuts itself off after a certain amount of "idle" time. So, if I go camping and use the 12V plug of the ID4 quite a bit the 12V battery will never die as long as the vehicle is turned on?
From the Owner's Manual (P. 193-4) looks like there is one up front and one in the luggage compartment. Continuous power of all 12-volt sockets in the vehicle is 120 watts in total. The maximum power of a 12-volt socket in the vehicle is a total of 180 watts when the vehicle’s drive system is activated. The 12-volt socket will work only when the ignition is switched on.I'm trying to find out if the ID.4 will have 12 volt power outlets for accessories, such as a small 12 volt refrigerator? I've read through the owner's manual and can't really find anything. My Honda Clarity plug-in has two of them. Honda advised me they each are on a seprate circuit capable of 180 watts each. I want to be able to run my Massimo portable 12 volt refrigerator while driving, along with charging my Aimtom Power Pal 540mw power brick, which can be charged using a 12 volt outlet in a car. Thanks!
u can put the 20amp fuse one step down and u get continuous power in the outletFrom the Owner's Manual (P. 193-4) looks like there is one up front and one in the luggage compartment. Have this store in the trunk and you won't be sorry when the 12V battery goes flat.Does the ID4 have a 12v battery and if so can it charge from the main battery and is required to start the car?
It's easier if you have one of those posted above than coiling, carrying, and storing a power cable in the trunk.is there a way to get a powercable from the 12v battery to the trunk?
Why? what are trying to do?is there a way to get a powercable from the 12v battery to the trunk?
The ID.4 always recharges the 12v battery whenever it gets low, whether there is someone in the seat or not, even when its sitting with it off for days. It only takes about 15 minutes since the 12v capacity is very small. The ID.3 had a bug that was fixed 2 years ago where it did not do this. US ID.4 have never had this bug since none were shipped before it was fixed 2 years ago in software 2.1 (0792). Have you had yours updated in the past 2 years, or check what software version you are running? If you have the latest, then you likely have a bad 12v battery which is a common problem, and need to get it tested.Hi, Can someone tell me if I have someone sit in the ID3 with it switched on but without driving it will that recharge the 12v battery ? I'm aboard at the moment have been notified the 12v is low.
Also if that works how long would it take to charge the 12v 30mins, 1hour, 3 hours ?

No, AC is from the HV battery. But the radiator and cabin fan and coolant pump are 12v. Your app is different than our US one, but it appears to be out of date since there is not a need to wait for next vehicle use since the 2.1 update.Does the AC run off of the 12v ?
