Hello. Out of nowhere our 2021 id4 allows us to turn on ac as normal but no cool air is felt. Tried restarting infotainment. Would love this to an easy at home fix but perhaps we need to see the dealer? Is there a known issue? Thanks!

The part ( 5K0959126, 1K0959126D) that I ordered from Amazon was not correct. It didn’t fit. I knew the part might not fit because it’s not the specific part. I only ordered it because it was same day shipping and it was similar to the id4 OEM one and I just wanted try. But no worries, I did order the correct one (4H0959126A or 5q0959126) from Amazon. This one for sure will fit . It will arrive tomorrow. I will update .

Anyone looking for a VW part that's backordered... you might try checking Audi dealers also. Apparently VW dealers can search all other VW dealers for parts but can't search Audi dealers. I just got my ID.4 fixed thanks to another user on this forum pointing me to a pressure sensor in stock at an Audi dealer. Maybe if you call or go into an Audi dealer they could do a nationwide search for you.

So I have the part from Amazon but before I was able to test the part, my girlfriend took the car into the dealership because their part has arrived. Car is still at the dealership. I don’t know why it’s taking so long. That part should take 1 minute to replace. So I’m confused why it’s taking them so long . Once I get the car back, I will test the part that I ordered from Amazon . I will update you guys.

Probably took a while as they would still run a full diagnostic, check the pressures, etc. after replacing the part. You never reported back if that was the fix or if it was something else?

I’ve been having AC issues for the past few weeks getting inconsistent cooling temps with clicking sounds and visible gases blowing out of vents. I brought it in for service and ran software diagnostic and didn’t find any issues. VW tech did indicate that the AC pressure was low. They drained the freon and refilled to normal levels. There was no visual leaks detected and AC appears to be working again. Hopefully this resolved it for a few year.. I’ve had this of issue with older cars but not brand new cars with less than 5000k miles.

You can't say that. There is no issue with the ID.4 AC. Huey told me so on two pages ago. It's lies on Facebook. Everything is fine.

(Something will get lost in translation, but with the same symptoms the issue had been report-, excuse me, lied to be broken coolant lines in the AC that have needed to be replaced; other issues have been lied about less often)

That's funny (or sad) that they claim they won't cover the Audi 'part'. They have the exact same part number.

I first posted Aug 24th. Today, Sept 29th the A/C was fixed. I complained to VW customer service last week who followed up with one of the two dealers I took the car to. After previously telling me that the part was unavailable in the US, the dealer called me a couple of days later. They had obtained the part from another dealer. The next day I received a call from the first dealer who also obtained the part. I took the car in 4 days ago for replacement of the A/C sensor. The part # is 4 M0-959-603-E Sensor. Note that it is a different part number from some listed by others above. In removing the old sensor the technician stripped the threads of the refrigerant line the sensor attaches to. That required them to order a new refrigerant line (1EA-816-743-J CoolantPIP). The car, which was previously drivable, was now undriveable and sitting at the dealer for 4 days.. Thankfully they received the part today and I just picked up the car and it appears everything is working. Hope this helps others.

First "major" (at least from my wife's pre-menopausal point of view Lol) issue with our 2023 and 4k miles. AC isn't blowing out cold air. We tried ever setting possible (I think) and no cold air. Appt scheduled for next month, no loaners!?! So from his Thread, it looks like a bad sensor, but there are many various part numbers???

AC on our 2023 ID4 Pro (2,300 miles) did not work for 1st use about 2 weeks ago. Took to the dealer and it had no refrigerant, obviously a leak but the dealer could not find it. They charged the system and put a dye in it, told us to use it and if it fails again to bring it back. After 2-3 days of use it stopped blowing cold, assume it leaked the refrigerant again. Will be taking back to dealer next week.

I literally just got ours back, and they did the same...no refrigerant (they blamed the factory, yeah okay) and the dye test indicated no leak. Now I'm bummed to hear that yours wasn't fix as both our 2023 appear to have identical issues. Please keep me posted on the next "remedy." I'll let my wife know to enjoy the cool air for the next couple of days SMH

Just used my AC for the first time a couple days ago. It was making a squealing noise and not blowing through the vents. Discovered that all the dash vents were turned off and that the slider on the vents turns them on and off instead of moving the air stream left and right as in a normal car.

Once the vents were turned on it worked great and of course the squeal went away because the air now had someplace to go...
