Congratulations on taking the plunge!!

We very much care to hear from people like you who successfully run an EV in a remote and rugged environment. So much of the nonsense in the media conditions the public to think EV's are only "city cars" when in fact the opposite is true.

Thanks for sharing and doing your thing to preserve the beauty of your environment.

Congratulations and it's good to hear from you. I was just in Montana a few weeks ago and really wanted to take the ID.4 but couldn't find quite enough charging stations to take the risk. Bozeman's where I'm from originally and I am looking forward to being able to get there in my ID.4 soon!

I am in Livingston, and took my ID4 from here to Missoula, then over to Helena and back down through Townsend. Had to charge for a while in Helena, they need a fast charger there (even a 50 kWh station near the walking mall would be great) but it worked out well. If you’re coming from Washington you can certainly make it to Bozeman in an ID4. I was even getting a terrible 2.4 m/mWh doing 90 the whole way.

Thank you! My only complaint so far is: why did I pick white? After a few hours cruising at 90 mph here, the front end looks like a horror show of dead bugs.

Because the white is so pretty! We just got ours in White too after picking it over blue… Enjoy it, man!

Not sure if anyone cares, but I’m one of the few ID.4 owners here in western Montana. I have a RWD Pro S. If it’s helpful to anyone in the community I am happy to answer question specific to this unique, rugged environment.
Welcome to the group!! Good luck with that Pro!!

Yes, it looks like I could have made it to Bozeman but Dupyer was my destination. No chargers found near there.

My parents winter in Whitefish and keep a Subaru there to head up to Big Mountain. I’d love for them to be able to have an EV since they stay close to town for the 4-5 months they are there but I don’t think it’s in the cards just yet. I head out to visit them for a week every winter and absolutely love it out there.

I am from Missoula originally. Montana and the other northern states need to get on board the fast charging bad wagon. Missoula has one electrify America, but once you head north or east you lose almost all fast chargers.
