Thanks, didn't know until watching playlist that rear traffic alert will also brake in ID.4 at low speeds! Some companies advertise the heck out of that feature. I've owned several car with rear cross traffic alert, but they just gave warning alert and didn't brake.

They might have wanted to keep those features for Audi. We will see.

ericy is right, Audi Q4 gets it, as I guess you both already know. The end of the Roadshow clip shows it, and it is awesome! Q4 is considered the luxury version of the ID.4. I'm just trying to keep up as EV rollouts are on a tear....
Maybe it will trickle down to ID.4 in a few years, 'er maybe.... Ante up for Q4 and you can probably have it this year. Hope it works reliably and shows things in the right places. I should check Audi site....

I think the Q4 is hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot. I'll go far as to say, I think it is the best looking crossover (ICE or EV) I have ever seen. The Sportback is just too much, I can't even handle how good it looks. I love my ID.4 but when the Q4 finally lands in the USA, I might just have to sell a kidney or two to get this Audi.

Got my car! I'm kinda clueless about adding an account. I get to the screen to scan the QR code, but when I open the MyVW app I don't see an option to scan it?

On that screen you can also select in the upper right corner to add by email address. No need for QR code.
Thanks. I hope it's okay to ask dumb noob questions in this thread. Is there a way to keep heated steering and massage seat on when you start the car? I've had to turn both on manually so far.

Yes you can in Climate settings for seat and steering wheel. Don’t think you can have massage come on automatically.

Hi I have some more dumb questions.

The cabin is pitch black at night, how do you set the lights to turn on when the doors open, like every other car? If I turn them on manually, they don't shut off when I close and lock the doors.

Do the headlights always stay on auto? Is there a way to turn them off at night? I like to turn them off as I pull into my house so they don't shine through the windows.

The kick sensor worked the first time to open the hatch. Does it work to close it too? I couldn't really get it to work after the first try.

Yes and the trick is once it starts beeping you have to step back a large step or 2 or it won't go. Because of that I usually just press the button.
There is switch on center overhead panel that controls when interior lights come on. Set to your desire.

Can not drive car with headlights off. Others have posted this while trying to drive through Holiday Light shows.

Is there a way to turn down or off the proximity sensors? My garage is tight and it beeps like crazy when I pull in, it's very annoying. My other cars don't do this.
Same thing happened with me. I just turned down the proximity sensor volume. Can't remember where it is, though.

I found it.

Parking assist menu - settings - park distance control settings - then I lowered the front and rear volumes. It's still kinda loud but not as loud as before.

One other thing that is annoying is the outside temperature alert. After 2-3 min of driving, the car beeps to tell me the outside temperature is 40 degrees. I'm pretty sure this will scare my wife while she's on the highway. Is there a way to shut this off?
