Hi To All ID4 Owners,

I have the Pro for almost 3 weeks now. When I am driving on a moderate slope or incline roadway and stopped at the red light, I have noticed that my car will roll backward a little bit once I step on the accelerator pedal before going forward. Do anyone has experienced the same issue? Any recommended fix or settings change in the infotainment screen?

Also, I started hearing some squeaky noises coming out from the left end of my tail light when closing the rear lift gate? Anybody experiencing the similar issue?

Yes, I have the backward roll when stopped on a hill. If you’re not quick on the brake it could be a safety issue for someone close behind.

My taillight squeaked every time I opened and closed the tailgate. After a close inspection, found that one part in the center section wasn't seated all the way in. A couple of gentle pushes seated it properly and it is now squeak free.

Yep, I had the same squeak...even on moderately bumpy roads. The solution is quite simple - just re-seat (push in) the rear highlight bar on the tailgate. For some reason, it wasn't fully seated at the factory.

I've been up and down the hills of San Francisco with the ID.4 and the roll didn't bother me.

But I'm an old manual driver who has done it with a stick. Once I even had to drive an old manual Ford van that had a foot emergency brake, foot clutch, and foot gas and still made it up to twin peaks - it was kind of a 3 foot operation, you had to do with 2 feet. I don't ever want to do that again.

I too had a squeaky left tail light. My tech fixed it and it has been squeak free for 3 weeks.

Hi what's the name of your dealer that did the fix? I'm going in for my first check up soon and would like to bring this up. And of course in case they pull the "that's normal" bs. ;) Thanks!
VW of Inver Grove in Minnesota. The tech made a rubber gasket spacer and that tighten up the gap on my Pro left taillight.
