Is it just me or do others find the AC underwhelming. It seems cold but I think the fan is way under powered for this car, even on max cooling. I am in Arizona and 110 today and was never cool in the car. Also what’s up with the auto climate control. My others had one setting that controlled the fan speed. This one has 3, low, moderate and hi. None seem to control the fan speed totally automatically. When it’s hot I want the fan to high and gradually reduce as it needs to. This does not happen. Very disappointing. Anyone else want to weigh in?

Like Neil said, check to ensure the vents are open - I actually closed mine in error, thinking I was aiming them. They're a little goofy IMHO.

Also, if you're in the car by yourself it'll run the passenger side on "Eco" which is essentially off. Access the Clima screen by your favorite method, then select the temp on the right side either up or down a degree to force that side on. Then click "Sync" in the middle. You'll have to do this every time you get in the car, and it sucks. This one engineering decision screams "we designed this car in temperate weather and don't get out much." Also, this makes a huge difference.

Precondition if you can get Car-Net to work. It really helps if you can just get the seat surfaces slightly cooler.

I'm sure you've got the windows tinted by now, hopefully with ceramic tint. Also, I tinted the roof and it does make a discernible if not huge difference but I haven't been in temps over 95 or so since.

I [finally] discovered this myself the first time I needed/selected A/C in May. Dealer Prep hadn't opened any of the vents from their fully closed shipping configuration. Very cold A/C flow thereafter, and apparently better than Euro heat pump system.

Not saying this is Guy's issue, but after several weeks I finally checked and found that the front vents in the center & right bay were closed. The air turnover was much better after I opened the vents. 😊

Yes all vents are open. The AC is cold. My issue is the fan doesn’t seem to be as strong as it should be. My Ford Fusion fan was amazing. Unfortunately this is not.

You might need to have yours looked at by the dealer. I don’t think the rest of us are having fan speed isses. I have quite the opposite where I’m turning the fan down because the car is constantly trying to freeze me out. I’m in the SE USA with 90+ temps.

As someone else mentioned I also was closing the vents, thinking I was aiming them to the side, for quite a while.

I'm also coming from a Ford Fusion, which does have good A/C. The thing I find disconcerting about the ID.4 is there are no FaceFroster® vents. The two down low and in the middle seem oddly placed and unable to give me the blast I'm used to. The ID fan seems up to the task, I often turn it down, the placement of the driver-centric vents seems troublesome.

Also Live in Arizona and have the FE. We run ours on ECO mode and it has no problem cooling the inside.

We live in the NW (SE Washington, Kennewick) and it hit 100 on Friday and 110 yesterday. MY AC worked flawlessly and it was only set to 70 F. When driving alone I keep the left vent facing my left shoulder, the left center on my face and right center on my right shoulder. My visor too is lowered as that seems to keep the heat off my face even if the sun is behind me.

do you mean something other than the normal vent controls? mine seem to work OK but i wouldn't say i'm thrilled, either. i like my face frozen off and this thing prefers to blow at torso height.
