ID4 Battery access under the hood is not so bad

The Mustang Mach E also won't let you into the car when the 12V battery is dead. You have to open a "door" on the front bumper to get to battery leads so you can pop the frunk open, then take off a panel to get to the battery. I like that VW put a mechanical unlock in the ID.4, so that you can get into the car even if the 12V battery is dead.

I wonder what Munro has to say about the "poor engineering" and decision making on this? VW has been showing that their experience shines in the least expected moments/situations. Glad to see yet another positive highlight for the ID.4!!
