Unfortunately I'm in a different boat - I expected something that would work and not be riddled with bugs. I wish that I could stand the audio and charge it in a single session without several failures. Maybe I expected too much.

I just took delivery of my ID.4 Pro S tonight & I love it. Dealer said there were things on it they weren’t expecting such as topstitching on dashboard & the lighted VW on front is awesome. Congratulations, mine is set to be delivered sometime in January. Glad to hear positive feedback especially from a MB owner, your standards are probably higher for quality than someone driving a Toyota or Ford.I have taken delivery of my ID 4. I've documented my problems elsewhere in the forum. The most serious hard failure was when the gear selector switch failed when my wife was driving the car home. It had to be towed to the dealer, but they diagnosed it quickly and I had it back in about 10 days.What issues are you having? The most impactful and frustrating bug is the complete failure of delayed / timed charging. I was perhaps the first US customer that documented this fully with VW o A (they claimed it had not been reported before), and numerous people on the forum helped with that. I have had a few EVs since 2012, and they all had delayed charging that worked. VW advertises this as a working feature (in its manual, videos, etc.) but it never charges from ~30% - 50% and it can fail in many ways.I will however caveat that by saying none of the bugs I've had, have had any significant impact on function/usability other than maybe the infotainment system and one time the travel assist wouldn't engage and kept giving me an error.
I have only had EVs since 2012 (Chevy, Tesla, Toyota) and have never had one with so many bugs.I'm sorry to hear that you're having a bunch of problems. Sometimes I get the sense that VW rushed to production with not enough functional testing. To play devils (sic) advocate, EVs are still very very new relative to other vehicles so its unsurprising that there are a bunch of kinks.
