This morning as I pulled out of the garage I received messages that the driver assist systems were not functional. Also the read-out in miles was in Km. The temperature for the heat/AC was now in Celsius! Every thing else was as normal. I drove to my destination and parked. I returned to the vehicle about an hour 1/2 later and everything was back to normal. I really like the ID4, but these hiccups have got to stop! I gave up a Hyundai hybrid for the ID4 that gave me NO issues in the two years I owned it. If VW can not get a handle on the "bugs" these vehicles have

by the end of the year I will seriously consider another maker's EV in 2022.

Did you use any aftermarket app and obd2 dongle with your ID4?

I had a Kona Electric prior to the ID4. It had plenty of bugs that showed up intermittently. My display screen would periodically freeze or go black until I stopped and restarted the car. It did not have a power button like the ID4 that allows you to restart the infotainment system. The brake reg/blending was terrible! I nearly threw so many people through my windshield because of the overreactive brakes during a hard stop. The lane assist feature was just as erratic (and scary on occasion) as the ID4's. Oh...and it had a battery that exploded into flames on enough cars worldwide that Hyundai finally bought my car back at full price. Software bugs are part and parcel of all cars now. Hyundai—arguably—has more electric experience than most car makers (yeah not Tesla) so you would expect them to have a solid product. The Kona was a very good car for sure by many measures, but lots of people complained of similar issues to what comes the ID4 forum. I love my ID4. It's not perfect, but it's a very, very good car. And since nearly all the "issues" are software related I can look forward to those getting fixed. I'm optimistic.

I will second that. I never had a car with this many software issues but I never had a car that fixed itself either.

I couldn’t tell you how many of these issues I had with my Tesla. Unfortunately with these new smart cars and their infotainment systems, there’s going to be bugs.

This sounds like a software issue. Next time when it happens, see if you can manually change it under system settings --> units.

The expectation here is that when a customer shuts off the car, settings should be persistence when car is turned off. Looks like in your situation, system heal after you fully ran down the car for the system to fully shut down

Happened twice this week while on the highway headed home after work. Sixty day check in next week. I'm hoping they hook up to the car and capture the errors (I assume there's an event log like any other computer).
