ID.4 performed very well in EU crash safety test. So I contacted IIHS to see if there was a schedule for US testing. FYI ... not planned right now.

Hi,
Thanks for contacting the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Volkswagen ID.4 is not slated to be crash tested in the near future. I am sorry that I don’t have more information to share at this time.

Thanks for contacting them. Sorry about IIHS response though. At least ID.4 is scheduled to be tested by NHTSA this year, as is Mach e.

They actually just released data for the Mach-E and XC40 recharge!

Wish NHTSA would crash test ID.4 and Mach e before my Pro (which is still on a ship somewhere) arrives. The ID.4 did good in EuroNCAP crash tests and the
Mach e in IIHS, so NHTSA tests could be a tie-breaker. I think the Pro is more practical and priced lower, so I prefer it. To me the Pro even looks better.
looks like they have been doing some id4 crash testing at iihs recently. they said results should be out within the next few weeks.
