just blank? try to hold the infotainment's power button for about 15 seconds to reboot it
The screen you are having trouble with is the Infotainment screen or the binnacle screen behind the wheel? Have you tried to reboot the Infotainment system yet? If not that would be first step. Hold down Infotainment power button for 15 seconds as JimmyVW just mentioned.Welp here I am very upset and disappointed. My ID 4's screen just died and I'm two hours from home. To add insult to injury the next available appointment isn't until aug 6. This dealer has been nothing but problems. So has the screen on my car. I'm upset.
Thanks for the help but it's just blank and I already tried that. The rear camera is the only thing that shows up.just blank? try to hold the infotainment's power button for about 15 seconds to reboot it
The infotainment screen. The one behind the steering wheel works. I already tried that and nothing. The screen you are having trouble with is the Infotainment screen or the binnacle screen behind the wheel? Have you tried to reboot the Infotainment system yet? Ok. If camera shows on screen then at least it's not functionally dead. Thanks for the help but it's just blank and I already tried that. The rear camera is the only thing that shows up.
I haven't done that yet. I'm currently charging at a EA station and was hoping it would turn on once I got back.Ok. If camera shows on screen then at least it's not functionally dead.
Have you tried getting out..lock car...wait a few minutes...and then re-wake up?
The problem is I won't be able to update unless the screen works lol. Also I'll be honest I'm starting to think it's both hardware and software. Also I knew there would be glitches but even so this is a huge safety risk. Plus even my phone with beta software doesn't act like this. The car is find but not great enough for 45k and this problemsSounds like the hardware is still working, so that’s definitely a good thing. We should be getting a software update soon, so hopefully that will fix the issue. I know it’s tough to deal with glitches like this, but it comes with being an early adopter. I bought this car knowing there might be some software issues, but I know VW is working on making it right. Hopefully the driving experience is enjoyable enough to carry you through until they work some of this stuff out. I know I’m enjoying it! Dealerships won’t be of much help at this point, but it is good that you are bringing it in as this is what gets reported back to VW so they can see what issues people are having.
I tried nothing happens. Thanks thoughjust blank? try to hold the infotainment's power button for about 15 seconds to reboot it
We are windows 8 but if Microsoft had outsource the work. This isn't the worst, but Volkswagen has to understand that the average consumer isn't going to tolerate this.I read all these issues and if we had to line up the time line with windows are VW on windows 2.0? Do we need to wait for XP or vista…Maybe one day it will be funny but from what I read VW are at the very beginning of this software on this platform I hope I’m wrong but it’s going to take timeI’ll just keep telling myself that the minor updates will fix all the issues before I get my car.
