I've tried this with an active internet connection via my phone, and via connection to my home wi-fi network. Nothing seems to work. Has anyone had any success?

No, I didn't realize you have to pay for it.

I'm surprised they didn't include that with the wifi hotspot demo to hook people on the services. It's never worked for me.

Welcome to legacy auto. Man, this seems like something Chevy would do.

The option to pay for it showed up after I started paying for in-car data. It’s like 8 bucks a year so I signed up for it. Lots of streaming stations you would see on iHeartRadio etc. use it every so often.

Yeah, all I need is the Radio Paradise app.

Other phone options are Audacy (formerly Radio.com) and iHeart Radio. Both work with CarPlay on iOS.

here in euope it works if you use your mobile hotspot. then it uses your data instead of the car which you need to pay for. no the same in usa?

It doesn't look like it. From what I can gather, they want that $8 for the first year then who knows what happens after that.

Also note it also says you need to pay for the in car internet as well to utilize the internet radio so 8 a year plus the 20 a month for the internet service

Is it though? Verizon didn't know but I knew my plan had 50 percent off a connected plan they just couldn't say if a car was included

You can use your phone as a hotspot though, then it’s “free”
