That would be a violation of the VW&EA agreement.
Good luck.
Plus I believe they register the car and not the user in the system (for when Plug and Play is fully implemented). So a user that traded in there car would have nothing to “transfer.”

I thought this 3 years free charging transferred with the car, but have never looked at the terms. Guess that will not be a selling point when you get rid of the ID.4. Anyone have idea when the 3 years free charging will end with new car purchases? They sure do not advertise this very much in their ads.

It will end 3 years from the in-service date.

Three years from your date of delivery. Said date is entered by dealer (or self in my case) by virtue of the VIN when initializing your EA account. Although I created by account via iPad until the App was resolved that date was again VIN-associated.

I don't know. It's always mentioned as if it's a standard feature, not a 1st Edition or 2021 model year incentive. I don't recall seeing it referred to as a temporary promo.

Since other manufacturers are doing likewise — Hyundai, I believe, has a similar EA arrangement — maybe this does become an industry standard feature and VW sticks with it for awhile.
