He said my 1st Edition ID.4 would be at the dealer by the end of March and the display models would be there a few days before. I’m glad to finally know. Did anyone else get a call today?
Bert Smith VW on 9/26Not yet.
Which dealer, and when did you make your reservation?
That portal has been useless after the lock-in. Hoping to see a change there soon. It would be great if we all get the 1st Editions around the same time and make a big impact in visibility for electric cars.My EV Specialist (Southern California) said that FE will be arriving mid-March through May. But also said that the portal may be updated next week.
Seems like, by design or otherwise, this may be the outcome. It would be great if we all get the 1st Editions around the same time and make a big impact in visibility for electric cars.
I'm getting that sense too. Rather than having a few deliveries here and there they're going roll them out in bulk.Seems like, by design or otherwise, this may be the outcome.
Are you looking to switch from the ID.4?I just called my dealer and they tell me my car is in the Balitmore Port "on hold". He doesn't know when it will arrive but is going to try to follow-up. I'm going today to check out the Model Y which dropped in price.
My dealer has a L2 charging setup per VW requirements. Not for use by the public, just the dealership.Do any of your dealers have a special setup for the ID.4 and anything related to it? Because I believe VW Group wanted to setup Level 2 charging stations at its dealers. I'd be surprised if that's not done already.

In Sarasota Florida L2 Chargers are being installed this week. Getting ready for deliveries is what I was told.Do any of your dealers have a special setup for the ID.4 and anything related to it? I’m still 90% sure the ID.4 is what I want. Drove the Model Y and loved the speed and handling but the frameless glass (breaks easily) and no CarPlay or other streaming services or XM, PLUS the notorious build quality and much higher price unless they get the tax credit back put me off. Also got an insurance quote on the ID and it’s lower than my Mazda3 by a bit. Tesla’s are very expensive to insure I’ve read. Are you looking to switch from the ID.4?
With the drop in Tesla price, the Model Y standard range is slightly less expensive. So, I am looking at it.Are you looking to switch from the ID.4?
