Just ran into this issue:

If you remove the hinge side you can now unclipthe other side round the key. If you look at that image you can see the bracket shape. By unclipping top for the c shaped metal part, then pulling it to the right this will stay here. Once you have done that place the rubber piece into the c side making sure the channel lines up with the metal. Once this is in place, push the top clip of the c side back into the hole and it will be locked there. Then line the hinge side up and push it in.
