Does the ID4 have something similar to Hyundai's "Leading Vehicle Departure Alert"? You know, when you are waiting at a red light and the car ahead start moving and you don't (because you got distracted) your car dash will chime before the guy behind you uses the horn?

My Ioniq EV has it. But I just noticed the ID4 didn't do it (I was busy removing the fingerprints from the piano black and didn't notice the light changed)

Maybe there is a setting somewhere that activates this? Or maybe is just not there?

Definitely something minor that I can totally live without, but just wondering. I like it enough in the Ioniq to ask here... Hmm.. I am just realizing this might be showing me the kind of driver I am.

The system I'm somewhat curious about is Audi's Traffic Light Information. It not only counts down to Green, but supposedly also provides a speed recommendation in order to time the next light.

I haven't heard much about it in recent years, so I don't know whether it's still expanding (new networking is required to be installed at each intersection supporting it -- it's not just an Audi thing). But I can definitely see useful cases for it.

No. It seems only the Korean cars have them. A neat feature from Asian hospitality

No, it does not. Subaru has it, though - our old Outback with EyeSight did it. But it also had occasional phantom braking (being camera only, like Tesla) and it also threw on the emergency brakes when backing down my sloped driveway. So, I’ll take VW’s solution… besides, I live in New Jersey, so I don’t need the feature - the car behind me just blows the horn if I’m not off the brake within a half second of the light turning green! ;)
