As I get closer to my AWD finally being produced, I was wondering if anyone has gotten the Mass EV Tags at the time of purchase. I want them to alert first responders that I'm strapped to a battery, not for the "i'm cool" aspect. If I can get them at the dealer that's great, but who wants to sit at the Registry just for that! I guess I could get my RealID too, lol.

I dreaded going to the Registry but the one in Plymouth was actually very accomodating. A lady met me at the door to nicely check my RealID paperwork and the clerk was also very nice. Surprisingly not too long a wait either. I actually brought more ‘proof of’ credentials than I needed so we had a laugh over that too.

Been there, done that when I applied for my RealID. I carried a photo album with my original birth certificate, original social security card, copies of my power bill. We had to wait outside in our cars(original Covid outbreak). The clerk didn't look at any of it, just took my cash and snapped the photo.

I picked up my Pro S today and it came with EV plates automatically. I believe the registry issues them for every EV.

I picked up ID.4 Pro S in later April and I asked the dealer to make sure to get the EV plates from the MA registry. I believe that this dealer automatically orders the EV plates for every new ID.4. I do not know if that is the case for all dealers, so you might want to check with the dealer well before you pick up your car to make sure.
