Got mine at Ourisman VW in Rockville. Pro-S, White. Topping up at EA at Clarksburg Outlet Shopping Center for now. ChargePoint+ Home Flex to be installed next week. So far, it’s the most fun since I drove an RX-7. That was a very long time ago.

Maryland MVA - HOV Permit
How long should it take to get an HOV permit? The VW dealer does not issue them but the MVA web site list it as the first source. I filled out the application and mailed it to the Maryland MVA about a month ago and never got the permit. How long has it taken other Maryland ID.4 owners?

I looked at a copy of form VR-335 that I mailed in to MVA and I don’t see a spot for a dealer sign off. Just requires my signature. I’ll give it another week as it’s just 3 weeks since I mailed it. With USPS so slow these days it might take a little longer. Thanks for your input.

Same here- I got the permit on my last EV, (Chevy Bolt) but since my first EV in 2016, I used the Maryland HOV lanes with just me in the car, exactly...... once. Looks like it's most useful for folks commuting regularly on rt. 50 or I-270.

I rarely have a need for the HOV lane and just consider the free permit a nice perk for being an early EV adapter. The way I look at it, I get to free up one more spot in the right lanes for the ICE vehicles and at the same time get to use the mostly unused left lane. The idea is to get everyone to move a little faster and save a little fuel. The I270 HOV is the only one I would ever have a need to use in Maryland and that would not be very often.

I bought my ID.4 on May 12th 2021 and have not seen another one on the road until today Oct 15 2021. It was a white one driving down Falls Road from Potomac to Rockville. I was beginning to think I had the only one in Maryland. 👋
