On Order: ID.4 AWD Pro S Gradient (White/Lunar Gray)

Odd, I had two orders (two trim levels, two different dealers) just to see which one would move first.

The first order I placed shows up as status 99 and says canceled in the API response, the portal page throws an error message saying to contact VW Customer Care when I try to load that car. Though the order I placed two days later for the Gradient package is still looking fine... Both were locked and at 15-1 last I checked.

(Speed wise, the Gradient locked way faster, put the Pro S went to 15-1 a couple days before the Gradient.)

Have to call them tomorrow to see what is up... I kinda want the Pro S more than the Gradient as I don't care for the silver trim (but will take whatever I can get).

Did you use the same contact information when ordering? Name, email, etc? It sounds like VW is catching on and cancelling orders that may be "doubled". Interesting they didn't cancel your Gradient order, but rather the normal one.

I'm just surmising though. Who knows what actually happened 🤷🏽‍♂️

Did you use the same contact information when ordering? Name, email, etc? It sounds like VW is catching on and cancelling orders that may be "doubled". Interesting they didn't cancel your Gradient order, but rather the normal one.

I'm just surmising though. Who knows what actually happened 🤷🏽‍♂️
Yeah, I made both while signed in so they were both on the same account even. So it could be, but I doubt they intentionally canceled it as I could easily be ordering one for a significant other.

Just from email....cell phone number and name they have ability to pull soft check on your credit score.
This practice is used by many other companies.
If they pulled a soft score I don't think they would be unhappy though... I plan on calling in the morning to see what happened.

I to have a weird message that there is a problem with my order. I contacted customer service yesterday and they were going to research it and get back to me but I haven’t heard anything yet.

I saw the same message yesterday. I called them today and they said my order was fine / same eta and it’s just IT technical difficulty in their end.

The site used to do this a lot last spring.
It may sound silly, but clear your browser cache/cookies and make sure you are logged out of the site on your phone, etc.

I had to do that twice during my reservation period.

It's likely just webcode gobbledegook, and not actually any issue with your reservations

Per the terms and conditions, it is allowed to have up to 5 order reservations per household.
