That surely will confuse Europeans: real German license plates don't have the German flag, but the EU flag with the letter D surrounded by European yellow stars. Do you have to cover the license plate with your license plate?

Yes, you are correct. But the German flag looks so much cooler.

In Florida, you are only required to have a license plate on the rear of the vehicle.
