My FOB is activating the car horn a lot while in my pocket. I wear loose fitting pants all the time, I'm retired, for comfort. I have it in a case now and it just went off again.
Can the horn function be disabled or will a different FOB without that function work? I see some of the European models don't have that function.
This thing doesn't like me.

Do both of your fobs cause this? Is it possible this one is defective with a hair trigger contact that is able to engage with a little movement?

I wear normal jeans with not obscenely tight pockets but not loose, and haven't experienced any unintended horn activations.

I have it happen to me here and there. I saw a post somewhere (probably on this forum) where someone purchased one of those rubber fob cases that fits tightly on the fob. He then cut a whole on the panic button section. That solved it as there is enough relief between the button and the thickness of the cover where it doesn't accidently get pressed. I hope that made sense. It's Friday evening, pouring rain and I'm about to collapse at my desk!!

I keep my FOB in my pants pocket, sometimes jeans, sometimes slacks. Either way, the FOB is always facing with the buttons towards my leg and the logo facing out. I figure that way, even if I bump up against something, the buttons will not necessarily be pushed hard enough and so far, it works. I don't use a cover.

I ordered this for my keys. It takes a lot to set off that panic button now.

I had that until the pin holding it together snapped off at the screwed in part. It happened fewer times, but it wasn’t impossible.
I rarely use the buttons at all between the proximity unlock and the touch lock. What I’d like is a rigid case that covers the buttons that can pop off easily if needed.

The rubber FOB case solved this problem for me.

I almost always keep my keys in a work backpack during the week or a fanny pack on the weekends. The first time I had the fob in a pants pocket, I set off the panic button immediately upon exiting the car.

Back to the fanny pack it is.

This happens to me way too often, usually when squeezed against an armrest. I’ve also come out to find my trunk open, and I’m guessing I’ve probably unlocked it several times too
That is quite scary actually, given at times I need to transport expensive equipment in my trunk.
