So I've had my ID4 Pro S for a little over a month. I've been using Apple CarPlay with very few issues. This past weekend it just stopped being able to stream music, both through Spotify and my Apple music. Here's the weirdest part: it still plays podcasts (most of the time, have had some issues there all of a sudden as well).
I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my phone and that did nothing.
Anyone else have similar issues?

the infotainment system has bugs and gremlins in them, we have all kinds of symptoms. But fortunately there is a quick fix, usually resetting the infotainment cures all. Tap and hold the infotainment power button (leftmost of the temperature / volume touch row) until the infotainment screen reboots.

Quick question- does it happen while you are driving, or is it when you get in the car for the first time after it being off for a while?

This has happened to me while the car is on and I've been driving. Often I find that somehow the ID.4 voice assistant will rasawndomly activate but won't go away essentially sitting limbo. Try manually activating the voice assistant and then clicking the X on the infotainment screen to cancel.

I've also had it happen where I click the power button on my phone to turn on the screen and Spotify will randomly stop coming through the speakers but will still show as playing. If you switch to the radio and then switch back to car play. The other thing you can try is I think what would be equivalent to "turning it on and off again." HD the power button until it shuts off completely (not just a tap). It may take a few seconds but it restarts the infotainment systen.

One of the three usually seem to do the trick for me.

It is worth noting I have an android and not an iPhone so what we are experiencing could be different.

it happens all of the time. It's almost like something is switched off or is malfunctioning. it just is not working, and I just tried powering it off and rebooting multiple times, to no effect

Has your phone been updated to IOS 15? That update causes serious glitches with Apple music and Carplay. Google IOS15 carplay issues and you'll see there are lots of people with similar issues. The IOS15.1 update fixed my problems.
yes, has newest update. At this point I've tried everything short of calling the company, which I guess I will do next

My issue is usually at start up, but I think the cause is where the infotainment system trying to debate to use either wireless or wired CarPlay. If I plug in my phone too early through the USB cable, at times, I am not able to "play" my music. CarPlay shows up, allows you to tap the play button, but immediately pauses. To resolve it, I unplug the phone and wait a few seconds to plug it back in and everything functions as normal... That's my experience with the latest iOS and had this issue with iOS 14 as well.
