Built on the MEB platform, the new Cupra Born is similar to the iD3, but I find it's much sharper looking - perfect marriage of German engineering & Spanish style! I prefer the more angular lines vs the bulbous shapes of the iD3/4.

Take note of how the digital cockpit is exactly the same, but the software is different, better, and has time display (upper left corner), temp display (upper right corner), and battery percent along side predicated mileage remaining at centre bottom of cockpit display. These are features that iD3/4 software should also have. Now.

Also, it has the ability to turn ESC off, so you can drift!

I assume Cupra will eventually release an iD4 size EV. Perhaps their Formentor or Leon will turn into EV next year (presumably on the MEB platform?). If that was available in North America I might be first in line!

I see loads of Borns on the road. Very distinctive cars. I wonder why VAG skipped the SEAT brand?

Tavascan is the iD4 equivalent Cupra, shipping to customers in 2024.

Have been staring at some stills of the dashboard, can see the time and temp, but failing to see the percentage of the battery? Could be missing something though. Have you got a clear screenshot with the percentage?

Percentage is at at the bottom left of the battery icon. To the right of the battery icon is miles left predicted. Practical info that is needed in iD3/4 cockpit. I don't know why iD3/4 doesn't have this basic stuff yet...
This video might give a better view:

The Cupra cars are funny looking things. I seem to see a lot of them on the road. They’re a sub brand of SEAT which is a VAG brand alongside Skoda. I can’t see any of these brands being marketed in the US.

The US market seems to have been distilled over the years. Ford, GM, and Chrysler have stoped marketing a whole bunch of sub brands and dramatically reduced the number of models available to US consumers.
