What am I doing wrong? I have a 2nd level charger at home, which works/is working on our KIA. When I plug in the ID.4, the charging port light comes on white, then turns off. It's not replaced by either a green or red light, and the battery charge level stays the same. I feel like I'm missing something obvious...

Thank you in advance...

If you go in the car while it’s plugged in, do you have the option to start charging on the charging screen? If you are close to an EA charger or anything nearby with level 2 charging, I’d go there and see if it acts differently.

No option to start charging. The only variables are the final charge level, i.e. up to 100%, on a sliding toggle, or the two different rates of charging. I've tried both rates, and tried charging on different final percentages.

The charge location is my address. And I've tried all the charge levels...
There you have the problem. As soon as you set the location, it will want to do a delayed charging schedule, just finishing at the moment you’ve set your departure time. Works pretty great with European 2.3 software, but is broken in the US 2.1 version you still currently have.

Please delete your charging location, unplug, lock the car and replug again. That should fix it

Thanks for this. I followed your directions and deleted the location and the hours to charge. As far as I know, it's not charging; the white light on the port went out. There's nothing suggesting that it's charging now...

Try charging with your VW supplied 110 Volt plug in cable. I know this is very slow ,but it will help diagnose the problem. Make sure you hear and feel either cable click when attached to the car. Good luck
Thanks. I'll do that in a bit. Just waiting to see if it's charging now.
Btw, what does the car do when it's successfully charging?

green light that brightens and fades every few seconds. You'll also see the light bar in the dash light up green and show charge percentage, along with the infotainment screen showing the charging data. Both of those will go away after a bit, but the light by the charge port continues to pulsate until done.

When you plug the car in can you hear clicking toward the middle of it? About 2 or 3 slight clicks? That is a sure sign it sees the connector and is switching relays to start the charge. A couple of times I thought I had plugged the connector in and did not hear the clicks and reseated it and it worked fine.

No clicking...I've reseated the charger a bunch, and sadly...nothing. Thank you though...

if it goes white, it recognizes the charger and is talking with it. If it then goes red, there is something wrong. If it goes green it’s charging or going to charge. If it goes dark, the car falls asleep until it is time to charge. So imho the car still thinks it needs to apply a delayed charging schedule.

How would I get rid of that? Also, I just plugged in the portable charger, and that's working.
