Is anyone in the Midwest, Central Appalachia area? I live in Columbus, OH, and there is a huge void of EA stations in the SE Ohio, NW West Virginia area. You definitely see the gap in the EA location map when most of the East coast is covered with blue, or at least something coming soon. I know it's not all about me, but any SE travel is made really tricky by this. This also affects Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati which are fairly populous areas. It's very common for people in the area to travel to the Atlantic coast for vacations; Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Florida, etc. I also have family in Charlotte, NC. Any of these destinations become difficult due to that void. Has anyone else noticed mapping trips or future plans?
I actually went to the EA website and there is a "
Contact Us" section that has locations as a topic. I suggested they look at Charleston, WV which is right in the middle of the void, would be reachable for most EVs with decent range from EA locations in the above cities I mentioned, and then to a string of EA locations along I-81 further South or East. Charleston is the intersection of I-79 and I-77, so high traffic and I assume a desirable location for them.
Anyway, I know selfishly it would benefit me, but I'm sure there are others out there in these areas. I invite you to also submit Charleston (or something else in that void) and maybe "stuffing the ballot box" will generate some attention.
