It took a couple of days for me to get an e-mail after I first noticed going from Step 3 to 4 in the Portal. I think it took less than a week, though.

No official portal notification/email
Has anybody been moved up a step or two in the portal but has never received an official notification from vw. On 4/06 I moved from step three to step four, just happened to you the portal and noticed the difference. However I still have not received an official notification or email from vw.

I went from 3 to 4 on the 4th of March and no email, but dealer and Customer Care both say that reservation is there and still active. The car is nowhere to be found so I might not be the best reference!
I was moved three to four on 4-6 but have never received an email yet. Now my salesman tells me my ID4 is on a ship that left before the wheel of frustration showed that the Id4 left the factory! I moved to step four on 3-23 and the email came a day later. Dealer has yet to find any info on progress. I never received any notification emails until I reached step 6. I just would periodically log in and check. Once I hit step 4 for it took about 3-4 weeks to move to step 5. I am in California so car ported in Houstion. It then took aproximately 7-10 days to get unloaded and process through customs to reach step 6 which is basically where the car is on a truck transport to dealership. We will see how long that takes. I have been contacted by dealership as soon as I hit step 6 which makes sense cause that is when you prepare to purchase vehicle.Has anybody been moved up a step or two in the portal but has never received an official notification from vw. I am at the mercy of the portal of discontent. When it tells me it wants to move then it moves. Step 4 is my reality at the moment With no confirmation from VW. My dealer representative was not able to provide any additional information, not like others in the forum who received possible dates, even which vessel there future joy is riding. I cannot even get my sticker info with the VIN I was able to get.
These are seriously first world problems. I’m in the same boat, possibly literally, as you. What can you do about it? Me, I just hang out and ask questions and make comments; sometimes snarky, sometimes smart ( I hope). it will arrive someday soon, for sure. I’ve spent time looking up ceramic coatings, you’ve been looking at wraps, it could escalate to the best usb-c cable for the car (not saying I did that or anything). I suppose screaming into the void is possible, Perhaps that’s what you were doing and I‘m just being an obtuse ass. I should have stopped at the first sentence. Good night.

Same here, always got one for each step but always exactly 2 days after the wheel on the website changed.I have received notification every step. Although it occurred two to three days after the wheel of pain changes.
