We had the VW ID.4 here for a press day VW ID.4 Walk-Around

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance!
I am the Electric Vehicle Specialist for our location, and I have 6 confirmed orders for the 1st Edition. Also have over 45 Reservations for Pro editions due out in 2nd half of 2021! Let me know if you would like to reserve or be on a back up list!

Nice to have a dealer on the forum who is actually enthused about selling an electric vehicle. I live in a non-ZEV state and the dealers here - including VW - are reluctant or even hostile towards EVs.

I'm super excited, as I am one of the 6 1st Edition deliveries... I currently have a 2016 eGolf :) Scottsdale is definitely a "Car Culture" town!! My location specializes in out of state car sales as we have a huge influx of the population growth and the Winter "SnowBirds" that live here for half of the year. Many of my clients enjoy flying here, take delivery of a car to road trip home!!

Can you please fill us in on the audio/radio and speaker/brand situation on the AWD. Also will the AWD in Galaxy Black seats have brown dash and door inserts?
Just cannot get a clear answer on these questions. Also run up the chain on the need for heat pump for us up north folks and not to decontent US version. Have those items as at least as accessories. Thanks

If you are familiar with the current stereo interface with VW (MIB2) the new MIB3 Discover Pro Max: 12” color touchscreen navigation, AM/FM/HD Radio™ & media player w/ voice control will be in the AWD. Wireless charger for Smartphone and Wireless App-Connect. Have not heard if we are going with a brand such as B&O or HK... not sure they wanted to put a strain on the 12volt battery with a high end stereo, is my guess. I don't think the heat pump will be on the imports... once Chattanooga is up & running, possibly we may have some pull. But I have not heard directly from VW.... working here for 7yrs, my experience has taught me, I only go on the direction of VW of America and when I see it in the showroom!! There is always pivots and slight changes to the game-plans. Let me know if you are ever in the Phoenix area... I will be happy give you a tour of our 101 Scottsdale Penske Campus!!

Can you confirm if hitch receiver size is 1-1/4" or 2" in the US since it doesn't look like it'll be the swing-down retractable hitch like in EU?

The 1st Edition we had for press/demo day had 1-1/4" receiver. I can only assume that is the standard, but I def need it for my bike rack!!

Thanks. I figured it was 1-1/4" based on the early demo tour pictures. Guess I'll need 1-1/4" to 2" adapter for my Yakima swing bike rack.

What's the best website to look up any parts for Volkswagen AG with diagrams?

JV; Do you have access to tour / location / dates for other locations in the states? More specifically the Richmond Va. metro area?

Do you have any specific month the pros will be delivered. The rwd says q1 on the reservation page
VWoA announced that the 13 ZEV states will mostly see the 1st Editions by early March and the the rest will be distro by end of March into April. The Pro and the Pro AWD I could only guess between May to Aug, based on the success of the initial roll-out.

Sorry Chipster, I have not heard of any other dates to the east Coast. I believe VWoA will be training us via ZOOM Mtgs vs. the dealership tours... but be on the look out for more info on the delivery dates starting in March 2021!!

VW just sent me an email stating that they have had an overwhelming response about the sold out 1st Editions and have put in place an opportunity for additional orders for the 1st Editions. If you are currently reserved for a Pro or Pro S, you will receive an email to update your order if you wish and will be limited to a 24-48 hour window to update!!!
