Think that @Andy at Ross-Tech.com mentioned in a thread somewhere that he compared parts on a AWD VIN. Maybe he can check if that AWD uses the same rotor and caliper part numbers.

Then again, if you checked it already, my suspicion that it is all marketing fuzz might be true after all.
I compared PartsLink24 for an AWD Pro S at a NJ dealer vs my RWD 1st edition:

AWD
