OBDeleven activation of Dynamic Light Assist for North American ID.4's

Picked up my 2022 ID4 PRO S AWD a month ago and now that I picked up an OBDEleven module I'm going to work to see if with the current software it is possible to enable the Dynamic Light Assist function found in the rest of the world. There is the work of @dg4prez and others trying to enable this in the general OBDEleven master thread, but it seems like working in another thread until (🤞) the procedure is fully figured out.

The information provided by @JimmyVW will be crucial.

Details on how it worked for some Aertons:

@VW TECHNICIAN Have any new insight on whether you think 3.1 will work (for matrix lighting in US)?
There is still missing part of necessary software for this to happen.... coding by manually changing various different things is possible but there is need for interlink between windshield camera module and headlight module.....I'm sure that some smart fellas on this thread will get missing things from EU ID4 to flash necessary things for two modules to work with this.

As in tweaking settings or as in retrofitting the module afterwards?
Just missing software patch to interlink two modules....can be done by advanced coding or flashing modules....no modules replacement needed.

Someone already posted aftermarket solution to this problem..... it is all about coding and integration of camera system to make matrix lights automatically adjust high beam without ever turning off.

It should be possible somehow because all the necessary parts are there.
K electronic itself sells a ready-made coding dongle to make this work.

This is not for everyone....they do sell many factory retrofit products but it requires great knowledge and experience changing various different settings and integrations of new modules. I'm talking about other options available from this company. If money is not the issue you can buy basic version and retrofit all goodies to have all options. I do not have information on this matter posted on picture above. Worth checking out if someone wants to go with.
Obdeleven will be required for this type of coding to enable this. US DOT has approved matrix lights for US ....when it will be updated or enabled from assembly line I'm not in power to make this statement.
My advice would be to check modules for EU market vs US market and from there do necessary coding changes for US market ID4.
I do believe that on this forum are people from EU with obdeleven that can pull specific data for matrix lights and windshield module to see what is needed to make changes.
All i can say with this working it is huge difference when driving at night and have matrix lights doo magic that will change completely how you will see road ahead of you. Once you get use to it, it will be hard to buy another vehicle without this on any other vehicle.

As always...we appreciate your great insight and help @VW TECHNICIAN

Do we have to wait until EU is also at v3.1.4 to compare enabled settings with US cars? or otherwise what version on EU can be used for comparison? @JimmyVW and @dg4prez previously compared earlier versions.
v3.1.4 will be enough for full use of matrix....there will be improvements on camera module coming in newer versions.....stock factory version will be possible but there will be limitations because of camera module software version.
EU versions irrelevant to software version will have necessary firmware updates for camera and matrix modules already installed if enabled for specific EU market. Not all EU markets have this option enabled. All it needs to compare EU vs US modules and start changing coding to enable this feature. Depending on firmware version on this modules it could work with more delays or not as well as modules that have latest firmware versions for camera and matrix module. VW will always start with new software version in EU before it will get updates to US and other markets....so if you come across higher version than mentioned above it will be enough to compare two modules to make needed adjustments for enabled matrix lights.

After making some backups I tried changing some settings, but so it seems to still be the standard auto high beam with only a change in the menu.

The viewable settings appear to match those shown by JimmyVW earlier.

Have him share with you ICAS ( this is main module responsible for all networking between all other modules).
Good luck.

Some long coding will need to be done on ICAS side, you have everything else right ✅️.

Comparing my 3.1 NA car with a 2.4 EU car (Thanks @JimmyVW !!!) shows some pretty significant distances in the OBDEleven backups. To highlight this, the modules in my North American market MY22 PRO S AWD with 3.1 has over double the lines of reported details, with many added parameters and values under most modules. (Though this could be related to the OBDEleven versions, idk)
Obdeleven will have more updated versions in EU vs US.....good catch....last update was not long ago for US.
Make sure you guys provide Obdeleven app version when comparing values.
And make sure you guys have shared all custom changes done on each side before comparing.

Some quick notes I'd like to document:

This OBDEleven backup scan was made using version 0.60.0 (10627) on Android 13.
The car is a MY22 ID4 Pro-S AWD for the North American region.

Following modifications have been made:

Module A5:
---Longcoding
------Afs_coding_light_assistant from High_beam_assist to Matrixbeam

Module 19:
---Adaptation
------High Beam Assistance
---------Menuesteuerung Fernlichtassistent : changed from Not Active to Present
------Lichtsteuerungsmodul
---------Expanded high beam control: changed from AFS, FLA, Ferlicht Uber AFS to AFS, FLA, Fernlicht (GLW,MDF)

ID4 MY22 PRO-S AWD NA w3.1.0 and changes to matrix settings.txt

@VW TECHNICIAN , I'm not sure if you would be able to share any more specific guicance, but what are the other modules which you think will need to be closely examined? Since the formatting is significantly different it is not practical to do a document compare which was my initial plan.
I will move on private chat....I'm busy at the moment with my daughter, but will let you know what you need.
