Can someone with an ID4 measure the height from the ground outside to the top of the backseat (not the floor in the back)? I just want to get an idea how much higher my dog would have to jump compared to my current car.

I have a Honda Accord and it's not an issue for her to jump in the back seat, but it looks like the ID4 is higher and I'm planning on purchasing most likely. She's getting older and so I'm just curious if I will need to get a ramp or something.

I like her to sit in the back seat rather than the back cargo area for several reasons which aren't worth discussing. But I suppose if you know the height to the back cargo that would be helpful too. Maybe I can start folding down the seats and use that space -- though not ideal.

Thanks in advance

Thank you so much! It occurs to me I now have to measure the Honda for comparison. You beat me to it. I'll have to do it tomorrow, though. It's too dark where my car is parked tonight, but I'll check in the morning. Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Back when I had my TDI Sportwagen my Boxer would jump up into the hatch(seat folded down) when I slapped the hatch and said "Hup". Time marched on and one day she looked at me and walked around to the side door and waited for me to give her a boost. The male that I have now hates riding in the car. He hates even more that he got demoted into being a "Backseat Boxer" and has to ride on a seat cover at that.

Right now drive a Cadillac CTS Sportwagon…dogs enter fron passenger door and go to rear (second seats are down so it’s all space. Am planning for the new ID4 to have the back seat cover for my girl the Giant Schnauzer. I’m planning an Orvis cover for front passenger and will set my boy the Aussie Shepherd with a Kurgo harness. Old car dogs moved around and stuck heads out the moon roof…want the new car a little more organized…
