Right. For others who are not as familiar with the situation: sequential updates means that update conditions / testing can be restricted to the one sequence. If there are 1 to 10 versions "in the wild", a sequential update means considering "1 to 2", "2 to 3" ,... "10 to 11"; just 10 different updates. But updating "all previous versions" will have meant updating "1 to 2", then "1 to 3 and 2 to 3", then "1 to 4, 2 to 4, 3 to 4" ... up to "1 to 11, 2 to 11, .... 10 to 11". That is unmanageable.It’s not unusual in the world of software/firmware updates to have to apply then sequentially.
