I would think if the battery replacements and software updates were ready to go, there would be more than just one person on these boards reporting they have been contacted to get their updgrade/updates.

So…happy Thanksgiving everyone! Has anyone heard of any actual progress? Radio silence since the (postal) letter I received.

Nada...it was probably just them blowing smoke up our ass to quiet us down. VW has the next 4 days off then close down again for the xmas holidays midday 12/22- 1/2 - so unless its a christmas miracle and VW all of the sudden figured out how to keep a commitment and be customer centric, I don't think we'll be getting anything done this years, as specified in their 10/10 e-mail.

My dealer is still clueless - but I do have a "meeting" with the regional VW corp service rep to talk about my recall 9502 issue - I will ask him then...its next week.

Spoke to my dealer today - they said no info from VW and that when they get the info, it will be handled as a service campaign....but they have no further information.

Had the ID into the dealer Friday morning to replace a piece of loose trim. While there I asked the service writer, who then asked the ID dedicated tech, about the update. Neither knew or have heard anything. With only 27 days remaining "by the end of the year" I am thinking it should have said "bye to the end of the year".

Yep, and both VWoA and AG shut down on the the 24th - 1st. All VW was doing with that letter was blowing smoke up our @$$ to quiet down the uproar they were hearing after several sources became vocal to their upper management...just more kicking the can down the road.

Exactly my point!! Anyone can plan to do something, but to actually commence and well execute is what really matters.

It does indeed seem like the worst possible time. But all they need to do is postmark one letter by 31 December .... 🤪

We shall see...interesting timing on my part - my car went into the shop today to have the regional service rep take a look with the shop foreman for all errors and warnings that have been thrown to date, as well as to discuss recall 9302 - luckily the 9302 fix was released today and the 97FY - so hopefully mine is in line to get fixed. The service manager said they would do everything they could to order the 97FY parts needed...fingers crossed.

SO....my car has been in the shop since Tuesday. I got notifications on my app today...opened my App and it now looks like the 2023 owners app...sooooo fingers crossed that indicates my 3.x software and new battery have been applied....fingers crossed!
