I just bought an ID.4 Pro S, last week, exactly the color (moonstone gray) and trim that I wanted. The last time the touchscreen worked perfectly was at the dealership, when I entered in my address to set the navigation for home - once I rolled into my driveway it started failing to respond to touches, first with some deadzones and extremely delayed responses, and then finally no response at all to touches anywhere.
The gesture detection still sees my hand, all the capacitive buttons below the touchscreen work, and I can still use voice commands; it seems to be almost exactly what Mark is describing in his thread: Infotainment Screen ENTIRELY "dead to the...
I've taken the car to the dealership and they're going to diagnose, but I'm doing a long-distance move at the end of the month for a new job, and the plan was to do it in this car. This means that assuming the dealership decides the screen needs to be replaced (which seems likely), it's possible they won't be able to get to the parts for it prior to my move. If that's the case, logistics dictates I'd be better off driving as planned with a non-functioning infotainment screen (but still very drivable vehicle), and then get it fixed at my destination.
To plan for this, I've been trying to figure out what functions I can do without using the touchscreen. The climate control seems like it's pretty straight-forward:
For navigation I can technically still use voice to set new destinations, but it's so bad at figuring out anything other than charging locations that I'll probably just use my phone. Cruise control and assist functions seem to work just fine on the steering wheel.
One thing I can't seem to do is change the driving mode - asking the car to "change to eco mode" just gets me a response that driving modes can't be controlled by voice (which seems ridiculous). Are there any other things I'm missing, that are going to be a problem on a long road trip with a number of charge stops?

- "Set fan to [1 - 10]" to change fan speed
- Sliders to adjust target temp/seat heat
- Various phrases to change vent outputs
