Hi everyone, I've been a lurker on the forum for a while now. I have an AWD Pro S gradient on order, which had been sitting at order status code15-1 for about a week now. When I attempted to log in and check yesterday I got a message that there was a problem with my reservation and to contact VW. I contacted them, and was assured there was no problem with my order and it was an IT problem. I was able to log back in this morning, and my order status code is now back to 03. I was wondering if anyone had ever seen their order status code roll backwards before?

Add me to that list. Back to 03. Annoying but hopefully just an IT worker with a hangover, or something.

I’m new to this forum. We have an ID4 AWD Pro S on order. Have been following the website, able to see that the car is in production. Not seeing these codes you are talking about? Obviously missing something. Thanks

Holding steady at 15-1 with a commission number. I wonder if there’s a relationship between status roll-back and a supplier issue? Perhaps an extended lead time on parts of a certain color, material or finish. I mean could really be anything I guess, possibly even a cancelled sailing or change in shipping allotments. Could just be a straight up IT boo-boo.

I’m on the books with a Pro S AWD w/Gradient, black over black. 10/21 lock, 15-1 appeared around 11/3.

Hard to say. I am AWD Pro S gradient in scale silver / black. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes.

I suspect something going on with the switch to 2022 models, and the production schedule for those may be different. Especially when they switchover to the new TN factory, where any recent orders may get sent to. I hope for announcements about the 2022 models any day now.

Hmm. Minnesota, US here BTW. If shipping is the issue, it may be related to delivery region/port. In any case, it certainly seems to a number of folks impacted.
I'm in New England and have been at 15-1 since 10/25 for a Pro S AWD, and my status hasn't been rolled back. I locked on 9/23. The Wheel of Pain still shows Order Locked, and my estimated delivery window is still December 2021 - January 2022. Keeping my fingers crossed that the only change I'll see in the coming weeks will be forward in the process and not back.... 🤞

Well, if they DO make a change based on location and factory in TN ramping up, is it bad to say I'd rather have a German built car? I just don't trust my countrymen to be as dedicated to quality.

From what I’ve read, they don’t plan to start Chattanooga production in earnest until September 2022 - that’s a hell of a kick to the can down the road. Frankly, it that’s the reasoning I think it’ll lead to a string of cancellations. I’d more readily guess it’s sequencing for 2022 production at Zwickau before that.

As for believing in the build quality of a Chattanooga built car - I’d have no qualms. This was once a fear of folks buying the first batch of Ohio built Honda Accords way back in the eighties. For sometime, that plant had the highest initial quality amongst Honda auto plants. I’d add this, that it should be a fresh production line with new tooling - and they’re already building pre-production ID.4’s there. I’d imagine that many of the running changes to the Zwickau line will be native to the production line and equipment at Chattanooga. Further, if the car is well designed - it should be easily properly assembled. I believe in VW’s design, and therefore would believe in its production assembly. Just food for thought.

Most recent was "On September 16, 2021, Bloomberg reported after an interview with Keogh at the Chattanooga plant that local production (for customer deliveries) will begin in June 2022. "
Good info. This might also be about some chassis being assigned to Emden production.
