But he traded it in for a Pro S followed by an Pro S AWD. The Connors go through more EVs than is sane.
All that YouTube money. LOL

My wife and granddaughter love the glass roof, especially when both are seated in back. I am concerned about moveable pano-roofs, given propensity for drain tube blockages and guide rail hardware failures, but not so with the fixed. Diff'rent strokes ...
Same here. No glass roof to worry about, and I'm ok with fewer ambient lighting options :)

We have two cars now with pano roofs and like them both aesthetically and practically. Easy to clean, no need to wax a glass roof, its actually less work IMHO.

You made the right choice. It's a nightmare to engineer it. A fixed glass roof is lighter than the movable one i.e. no e-motor, guide rails, seals, switches, complexity etc. which added weight to the already heavy EV.

I love the glass roof!! It makes the interior so much brighter when the shade is open.
With the shade open and the sun directly overhead in the summer time down here, it would be brighter times 10 and HOTTER too, with way more A/C load, which is something we don't need about 8 months out of the year. It's 86 degrees here today and my A/C is still getting a workout in mid October. Good news is . . . . another 2 or 3 mowings and I can quit cutting the grass around the end of November :p

My #1 decision to get a base Pro model was . . . . no glass roof!

Luckily, they make them both ways because what doesn't work for me is a big plus for other buyers. We spent 3 years in Germany, so I can well understand what the German engineers where thinking when they said "Lets get some light in here!"

If he is collecting the $7500 tax refund on each car and selling them close to the MSRP, he is making money on each sale.
Nobody I know is getting MSRP on their ID.4. It's not that in demand.

I've heard $42K for Pro S and I received quotes for my base Pro (RWD) between $37.5K to $39K (CarMax and Vroom were $38K and $38.5K. Carvana was similar). I've seen Manheim auction numbers for the Pro and they are higher than what I've been offered.

Anyhow, I traded my ID.4 Pro (RWD) this weekend for $37K for Model Y but the tax savings made it worth $39.5K(in FL) which was above my break-even price after the tax credit. And used Model Ys are being sold for $7K over what I paid for a new one.

I'm hoping it will help warm the cabin on those sunny snowy days here in N.J. :D

Now if they could just get my car built and delivered...
