No matter what I do I cannot get the passenger seat to remember a setting. I put car in Neutral with foot on the brake pedal, press and hold the "Set" button for a couple of seconds then press and hold the #1 memory setting button. The #1 button does not issue a confirming chime. What am I doing wrong? I have tried this procedure with a person in driver's seat and reaching over, people in both seats and just a person in passenger seat (so, no, there is no foot on brake pedal.

You don't have to press and hold the "Set" button. Press it once, then press the number you want for two second...that's how mine works.

Our passenger seat remembers its settings and we can change and resave them just like @NiaMoonStoneProS mentions above.
However, just like yours, @artgpo , I never hear a chime on the passenger seat settings and always hear it on the drivers side..
