I just received my Clean Air Vehicle stickers to allow a solo driver in 'carpool' lanes in California. The instructions are to place the two large stickers on each side behind the rear wheel. and the two small stickers on the front bumper at the right and left. Is there any risk of interference with the ID.4's sensors with this placement? Does anyone have experience with this?

Just curious how long did it take to get the decals. I've been waiting for almost a month now and DMV has still not cashed my check...
Mailed my check around the first of July. It was deposited on Sept. 10 and the decals arrived this week. So right at 3 months. The good news is that it moved fairly quickly once the check was deposited, so watch your bank account.

That is exactly how I placed mine and I have zero issues with the sensors. I did pick up some clear protectors, put the decals on them then applied them to the car. The residue they leave behind is a PITA to remove.

Wilsonium, Where or what type of clear protectors did you purchase? I just saw that the check got cashed so I am looking forward to seeing the stickers arrive.
Hello... sorry for the delay, I was in Denver all week. Here's exactly what I ordered from Amazon. There are other options if you search for them. The film is pre cut but significantly larger than the actual decals... It's clear like most protective films.

I am confused, the DMV site says to place the two small stickers on the front bumper in the left and right corners. However, other articles included in this thread say to place the two small stickers on the right side of each front and rear bumper. Can someone please confirm which placement is correct? Once the stickers are placed, they cannot be moved. Thank you in advance everyone.

I see a lot of cars with older stickers in this configuration. The smaller stickers were also quite a bit smaller in size in the past. I presume the DMV changed the placement recommendations. I put one on each corner as included instructions told me to. It looks better and you can keep it on the black plastic trim all the way around

Be careful which clear pre-cut PPF stickers you purchase. The new yellow carpool stickers are different than all of the previous stickers. They are a mirror image of the older ones, so they won't work on the clear PPF that is cutout for the older style carpool decals. I made this mistake when I ordered for my ID4's yellow decals.

EDIT: Someone else posted the mirrored orientation of the new decals here: California HOV Sticker

I bought magnet sheets and only put on one or two as needed. VW front and rear bumpers are plastic so have to put on a little higher but come right off.
