Didn't know where to put this question but I'm wondering if there is a warning or feature that prevents you from driving off with the car plugged in? Also, how do the dealers feel about you stopping by to use their chargers?

It will not get out of park with the plug inserted. Safety feature.

Call them and ask if it is okay to use charger. Usually charger that is installed inside service department is up to the dealership owner if he is willing to let you use it. There are many factors that will make them refuse to use one inside, insurance policy, other EVS in service need charger.
Outside building and on parking lots are fine, but still ask them for permission to use past the business hours. You don't want to be charged for trespassing and stilling free juice.
If they are Charge Point L2 they are okay to use if there is no specific sign otherwise.
