VW is claiming they started production 2nd week of December and only finished on Jan 7.

That's very frustrating, especially with this language on the portal FAQ page:
"If you have not received confirmation that your vehicle is in production on/before January 4th, your vehicle is subject to the price increase."
So, now they're telling you the vehicle was "in production" before January 4th, but since no one bothered to notify you of that until now, they get to charge you an extra $1500? In the 12/21 email, it says "assembled" by January 4th, but that's a lot less clear than saying something like "assembly completed."

I don't know if the factory always shuts down for around 2 weeks at Christmas and New Year's, but this sure feels like they just wanted to squeeze more money out of folks. It stinks.

Yes, exactly - I received multiple confirmations prior to Jan 4th that my car was in production. July, when I locked my 2022 order they said they had started manbufacturing. October when it changed to a Model Year 2023, and it showed still locked and again showed that they had started manufacturing and December 21 when I noticed it is in 15-2 status.

And now I have their confirmation via email that it entered production 2nd week of December.

They are straight up screwing us in contrast to what they said they would do in the FAQ.

Still am talking with the CEO's office, but so far no love. I will spread this news far and wide and try to get media to pick it up.

The last I hear from the dealer was by Feb.
Mine is AWD Pro S, Silver Mist, Galaxy.

The dealer says he sees an April delivery date.

If it just started, you should expect about 7-10 days to finish. After that, it is all up to the rail or trucking and I don't know about that.

"Some news that will surely power you up: Your ID.4 is now in the works at our assembly plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee."
So I enthusiastically clicked the Log into My VW button, and . . . and . . . the site was down.

FYI, just chatted with VW support and confirmed that Reservation Portal is currently experiencing issues. They are aware of it, and working on the issue.

Ironically, my 2022 AWD pro arrived at the dealer today, and I cancelled it. Perhaps, said he delusionally, that shocked VW into action.

@Plant Peon says maybe 7 to 10 days. Then comes the hard part: transportation. For Hawaii I guess it'll go by rail to the west coast for transshipment. I'm guessing a month for the train, and . . . well, you'd know better than me how long large objects take to get from Long Beach to Oahu. Congratulations.

Is that right. I know the boat takes about 12 days from west coast to Hawaii but train taking a month???

When did you lock in your Pro S Plus AWD? No updated emails here yet. We are still sitting at 10, since 10/20/22, but our estimated arrival date is Dec 22-Feb 23.
