Hey y'all! We just leased a ID4 FE, and it hadn't yet finished its post delivery inspection. NBD, we'll pick it up the next day. Well, the dealer then contacts us saying that it failed the inspection because of a Radio Antenna Unit, which was affecting radio, navigation and CarNet. Upon speaking to the service manager, it sounds like it's an intermittent issue. They say they are waiting on a part from VW, but we haven't gotten any ETA on when it will be here or when we can take possession of the car.

So my question to this forum is 1) anyone else heard of this issue? 2) Could this actually be a SW bug and we might be in for further problems and 3) Has anyone had to escalate up and apply pressure to VW for a repair? It's moderately absurd to me that I can't get an ETA on my brand new car, but maybe I'm not accounting for supply chain and other issues.

My Pro RWD's PDI was a farce. They did a poor job cleaning up the gunk/glue left by the wrapper. I called them days after delivery to let them know and they said just take baby wipes to them to wipe down. I'm no detailing expert so certainly not gonna do that to my dash as I don't know that material will interact badly to wipes or cleaning fluids. I will demand they clean that crap up on my 60 day dealer inspection.

Just as an update in case someone is having a similar problem in the future. It sounds like the actual issue was that they couldn't link to the mobile (Verizon?) satellite the first time. After about a day it finally did connect and has been fine since. The service manager made it sound like this was being reported at other dealerships as well. Certainly going to keep an eye on it, but sounds like I actually get to pick up the car today.

I've been getting some studder, skips, and loss of signal when there's no blockage overhead lately with SiriusXM. My other car works fine in those same areas. Anyone else having these type issues?
