So as of yesterday my rear view camera stopped working, I tried messing with the setting thinking maybe I pressed something I shouldn’t have but till now I can’t find anything.

When shifting to reverse camera doesn’t turn on it’s just a black screen, has anyone had similar issues that they were able to resolve?

Car is new with just under 3k miles on it.

My rear view camera also went black. Didn’t have any success with resetting the Infotainment or doing a Factory Reset (annoying, need to reset my preferences) over the past 3 days, brought it into VW dealership. Apparently they hadn’t had any other customers with this issue yet. Others had flashing screens on and off….

Hey guys it has happened to me on occasion. Just pull the 7.5 mini fuse and then put back in and it resets and no issue until it happens again. Camera works and it has happened 2 times but no issue in the last month. Let me know if you need a picture of the fuse

Thanks for sharing. Is that Fuse #21 located beside the steering wheel inside the car (vs under the hood)?

It is between the 2 10am fuses

Just posting an update. Pulling the fuse only got me so far. Eventually the camera module died completely and necessitated a replacement from the dealer. It's been about 6 weeks now and so far so good.

Thank you for the update. The VW Dealer ordered me a replacement camera almost 2 weeks ago and hopefully it will arrive by the end of this week. Apparently no parts here in Canada so its coming from Germany.

VW replaced the camera assembly which includes some electronic hardware attached to the camera under warranty. Works fine now. I asked how much if outside warranty….Cdn$1,400 😳.
